The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a piece of software designed to be the means by which we access any college information or learning online. Many colleges and universities have invested in a VLE and at this college we are using a proprietary VLE produced by Digitalbrain which is linked from the Intranet Home Page.

This VLE is the way that staff and students access information and resources online. It provides access to online learning materials and resources and allows all users to store work (documents, files, etc) online so that they can be accessed anytime from anywhere over the internet.

It's a one-stop-shop for Bournemouth and Poole College students. Here they can customise their own homepage, store work, access course information and hand outs, and view and take on-line assignments and tasks, as well as accessing discussion groups set up by their lecturer. If you are a student and have not heard about the VLE - talk to your lecturer!
